Can You Say a Language Course is the Best?
What is the Best Language Course? Is there such a thing?
I’m not a believer of the claim “The Best Language Course”. In my opinion, there is no such thing. I mean how do you measure that—based on someone’s result? How do you know it will work for you the same way?Have you consider all the different learning styles? A language course to me is one of those things that have no solid measurement. The result will always differ from user to user. However, you can have the best language course for you.
So rather than claiming a language course is “the best”, effective might fit better…even that is to a certain degree. When a person makes the statement “the best” on a language course, they should not forget to add “for them” because it’s misleading. Since we have different learning style, not every language course will produce the same result for everyone, therefore, it cannot be the best; and it should not be claim as such.
One factor that will determine the result you get from a language course is your learning style, and we all have different learning style. Learning style has a direct affect on how well you learn a language and at what speed. That’s why the most effective language course on the market will not guarantee everyone success. The makers might, but the course does not—it can’t. Your learning style will dictate it’s effectivness.
So it’s best you get more realistic when choosing a language course, and consider your learning style when making your choice. When you are an interactive person, interactive course might not be a bad start. When you learn best visually, look into a course that is more visual oriented. When you make your selection this way, you will find the best language course for YOU. It’ll be effective, and most likely natural.
